TapEP’s fee
TapEP charges 1% of each payment, rounded down to the penny, with a minimum of 1p. Stripe takes it automatically from the payment as an “application fee”. Your customer pays the amount you set.

TAPEP LTD is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added to TapEP’s fee.
Stripe’s fees
Stripe charges its own processing fees to your shop, separately from TapEP’s fee. TapEP does not set them. See Stripe’s UK pricing.
Refunds
When you refund a payment, TapEP gives back its fee: all of it for a full refund, and the matching share for a partial refund. Stripe’s own fees follow Stripe’s rules and may not be returned. See Refunds.
Disputes
If a customer disputes a payment with their bank, TapEP keeps its fee. Stripe’s dispute fees follow Stripe’s rules.
Payment limits
Each payment can be from £1.00 to £1,000, in pounds sterling. Your customer should start paying within about 30 minutes of the link being created.
Changes to the fee
We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing TapEP’s fee, unless the law or Stripe requires faster action. A change never applies to payments made before it takes effect.
